From 6 April, you will be able to complete your annual share scheme return for 2015-2016 via HMRC’s Online Services. Please click here to access the service.
Staged Release
The service will initially accept submissions of Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI) returns in .ods format and submissions for ‘Other’ arrangements (non-tax advantaged arrangements) in .ods format. From the end of April, the service will be extended to accept submissions of SIP (Share Incentive Plan), SAYE (Save as You Earn) and CSOP (Company Share Option Plan) returns in .ods, and those in the less widely used .csv format.
Checking Service
You can also use HMRC’s checking service to ensure that your return is free of errors in advance of submission.
Template Withdrawal
Templates for 2014-15 will be withdrawn from 6 April, though any companies that still need to submit a 2014-2015 return can do so on the 2015-2016 template, selecting the relevant return year within the service.
