David Pett and Stephen Woodhouse to speak at IOD Annual Conference

On 3 September 2015 The Institute of Directors (IoD) will be holding their annual conference Employee Share Schemes for SMEs. David Pett and Stephen Woodhouse, both partners at Pett Franklin, will be speaking at the event to be held at the IoD headquarters on Pall Mall.

The full day conference is designed for company owners and directors, finance managers and HR managers. The programme will address whether to introduce an employee share scheme or deepen existing employee share ownership in a company.

David Pett, who is a member of the Government’s advisory group on employee share schemes, will be holding a talk entitled ‘The choices for SMEs which do not qualify for Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)’. He will be explaining the options open to eligible employees, the alternatives, company share option plans (CSOP), growth shares and joint share ownership plans (JSOP).

An expert on employee benefit trusts and adviser on domestic and international issues relating to share schemes, Stephen Woodhouse will be also be holding a talk on ‘Employee share ownership as a succession solution in SMEs’. He will be offering advice on selling shares back to a company, treasury shares and avoiding the tax traps.
