The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee has launched an inquiry on executive pay and the gender pay gap. This follows the current discussion on compliance of businesses with reporting requirements and what the government can do to ensure that there is fairness in the remuneration structures of companies in the private sector.
Following recent revelations about the remuneration packages of the executives of the now-defunct Carillion, the committee will also look at ways of ensuring that clawback provisions do not unfairly cushion executives of poor performing companies. On the gender pay gap, the committee aims to find out why the gap persists and possible ways to close the pay gap in the long-term.
Stephen Woodhouse and Charlotte Fleck will address the issue of executive remuneration in their seminar “Rewards and Incentives Update: Recent Developments”, on 12th April 2018. To register your interest, please contact Pauline Atkins by emailing pauline.atkins@pettfranklin.com.
